The Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM) will present, on the 1st of June at 11.00, the “Become a friend of IVAM” campaign, which has been illustrated by the Valencian strip cartoonist Sento Llobell. Sento himself and the director of IVAM, José Miguel G. Cortés, will explain in detail the aims of this programme, which intends to encourage the public to get involved in the renovated project of the Valencian museum. They will reveal the campaign’s image, which is displayed with an intervention on the façade of the building, and an explanatory brochure, which will debut together with the new website and the new signs.

The new programme for Friends of IVAM invites all art and culture lovers to participate in the most active way in the museum. This is explained in the brochure illustrated by Sento and designed for this campaign, which explains the advantages for the different categories of membership.

Moreover, IVAM will also present its new website. The museum has made an effort to improve communication with citizens. The new website has been conceived as a wide portal with multiple contents which gives prominence to the exhibits, the activities and the IVAM collection.

With a design that has been adapted for its proper display on mobile phones and tablets, the website is easy to browse by users. It includes new features such as videos from the YouTube channel, it lays emphasis on social media, with links to share or tweet, and on allowing the internet users to speak as active subjects in order to interact with this art centre.

On the other hand, the new design of the signs is inspired by the work of the sculptor Julio González in order to create a series of pictograms and a new typography that makes the visit to the different areas of the museum easy.
