The authors explain the creation process of a publication that, in its tabloid format, recreates the spirit and aesthetic of old American newspapers. Across its pages, the author traces the appearances of this peculiar character in cinema over the decades and examines how masculinity has been represented in the film noir genre. Álex Tarazón contributes more than a hundred illustrations, providing the aesthetic impact demanded by such an original and little-explored topic. Valencian designer Alba Monleón talks about how she shaped this entire universe and translated it onto the page. ‘Gangsters Maricas’ will be available for sale at the end of November.
