As part of the exhibition ‘El poder amb què saltem juntes’, curated by Patricia Mayayo and Giulia Lamoni, the presentation and subsequent opening took place on 30 May 2024.
The conversation between the two curators focused on explaining the origin of the research, its development over time, the conceptualization of the exhibition project in different sections, and the key choices behind the selection of works—many of them previously unseen—that make up the show.
The project, which jointly explores the work of women artists in Spain and Portugal during the final years of the dictatorship and the early years of democracy, was co-produced with the Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian and made possible with the collaboration of Acció Cultural Espanyola (AC/E).
