L’extraordinari! is an initiative that focuses on families living in the urban area around the museum, through a creative process project that challenges the traditional concept of extracurricular activity.
L’extraordinari! emerges as a practice of unoccupation and deproduction, aiming to ease the work-life balance of families in a trusting environment, where the child is at the center, the museum becomes a place of care, play is the tool to resist the logics of productive time, and contemporary arts serve as an excuse to ensure learning and the enjoyment of being, after class, in a space of emotional production above all else.
With L’extraordinari! Who Lives Here? IVAM opens its spaces and schedules to children, an audience that deserves to inhabit the museum according to their needs and rhythms.
