Nobody discusses at this point the importance of the art in the education. In the tours to the museum on the part of the students they must bring together the learning with the entertainment. These visits must be pleasant raising them from the perspective of the knowledge. It is necessary to try to know the art and not only to recognize and to identify works of art.
The tour to the museum does not have to be a directed, but accompanied visit. The pretension is that the young students live it as a gratifying experience. The aim and value of the activities that they propose during the tour must reside less in the transmission of information that in concentrating the attention of the child on a thing, in discovering a way of looking.
It is a question of an artistic awareness directed to discovering new manners of seeing. The museums, and especially IVAM, are dedicating efforts to education to turn besides into an explanatory space, into a center of study, a didactic center and into a place of meeting.
These visits carry out on Tuesdays and Thursday at 12:00 p.m., previous reservation calling the telephone 96386300, for groups of 30 persons maximum. The activity is free.
