The educational intervention project Return, Renau! is a long-term collaboration between IVAM and various educational centers across the Valencian region. Using the exhibition The Exiles of Renau (July 8, 2021 – January 9, 2022) as a starting point, and throughout the 2021–2022 school year, the museum, together with a team of three urban artists and a mediation coordinator, supported teachers and students from twelve schools of different educational levels.
Drawing on the full range of narrative and expressive possibilities of contemporary mural art—from collage murals to ephemeral light murals and even vegetal murals—Return, Renau! allowed students to engage with contemporary issues that most concern children and young people, beyond the museum context.
