On the occasion of the exhibition Far from the Void. ZERO and Post-war Art in Europe, the film Piero Manzoni and ZERO (2018), by Francesca Pola, is screened. Pola is one of the most prolific voices in the new narratives of the history of art of the second half of the twentieth century, and she has devoted particular attention to the artists who, within the contexts of ZERO and Azimut/h, promoted the renewal of the arts in Europe from the late 1950s onwards.
After the screening of the film, written and directed by Pola, the author will take part in a conversation with Bartomeu Marí, curator of the exhibition, focusing on new historiographical perspectives and methodologies in revisiting the histories of contemporary art, the importance of oral history, and the new challenges and objectives facing art history today.
