Book presentation “Tra(ns)ducciones invisibles. Hacia una lectura del Arte Sonoro a través de la obra de Juan Downey” of Ana María Estrada
The book “Tra(ns)ducciones Invisibles” reflects an important part of the work of Juan Downey, who, as the eyes and ears of the sound artist Ana María Estrada Zuñiga, pioneered the use of sound as working material.
This essay explores the aesthetic and discursive possibilities in relation to the sound aspect of some audio kinetic sculptures, videos, installations and performance art performed by Chilean artist, but also proposes a cross reading in relation to the current production of Sound Art.
